Leaving Australia

If you are leaving Australia for good, you may be able to access your super and take it as a lump sum. You may be eligible to receive a departing Australia superannuation payment if:

• you were a temporary resident,

you entered Australia on a temporary visa

you have departed Australia (you need to have departed Australia before you can claim this payment)

your visa has ceased to be in effect (has expired or been cancelled), and

HIP has not paid your super money to the ATO as unclaimed super
