This checklist outlines the four simple steps involved in joining HIP:
1. Download and read the relevant Product Disclosure Statement (PDS)
If your employer pays contributions to your super account please download the HIP Member Booklet (Member PDS updated February 2012).
2. Consider your individual circumstances
You should consider whether the products, services, features and benefits of HIP meet your personal objectives. You might also like to consider seeking independent financial advice that would take into account your individual circumstances.

3. Complete your application form
You should complete all sections of the form then sign and date it where indicated. It is important to advise your Tax File Number and to nominate your beneficiaries.
If you wish to choose the investment option that your money is invested, you will be able to make an investment choice at any time by logging into your Member Account Online.
4. Post your completed application to HIP
Please send your completed and signed forms to:

Processing your application
Once HIP receives your forms it takes around five days to set up your account.
You will then be sent a welcome letter and pin to access your Member Account Online (provided you have indicated on your application that you wish to be sent one). Your Member Account Online will enable you to check up on your account balance and contributions made, update your details or make an investment choice.
