If you leave HIP during the year, your account will be updated with interim interest rates. An audited crediting rate is declared for each financial year and applied to your account as seen in your annual statement, issued after the end of financial year and after all auditing processes are completed. This can vary from the estimated earnings rates above.

Because HIP applies interest on a daily compounding basis, adding the figures for each month will not give a precise indication of the return. Your return will depend on the investment option/s you have selected, any changes you have made and, if applicable, the timing of these changes and any contributions paid.

Prior to acting upon the information contained above you should seek clarification of the applicable returns or a quote of your current withdrawal benefit by phoning HIP on 1300 654 099.

The above investment return data are earning rates estimates only and may vary from monthly interim and final annual audited crediting rates. Interest is credited to your account at the end of each financial year and is shown on your benefit statement. When setting the crediting rates, the Trustee Directors consider the total investment return for each option, less taxes and investment management fees. Past returns do not guarantee future performance and you may wish to seek advice from an independent qualified financial adviser when deciding the investment option, or combination that best suits your own personal circumstances.
